PRODUCT USER GUIDE: Selecting your fastening washers

A plastic fastening washer is often sought after by professionals for all types of work: electrical, mechanical, carpentry or even plumbing. These are environments where exposure can be varied and demanding. That is why a plastic washer is ideal.

Standard flat washer

The standard plastic flat washers, just like their metal counterparts, help reduce the friction exerted by the screw on the drilled surface or on the nut. This limits the risk of accidental loosening. The properties of plastic make it a perfectly suitable part for technical assemblies in harsh and demanding environments. Using a plastic washer also helps prevent cracking and avoids splitting your material during tightening thanks to better pressure distribution. They are available in different sizes, from washers for M2 screws to M16 screws. We offer black washers or white for greater discretion.

Large flat washer

The large flat washers provide better strength thanks to their larger bearing surface and thickness. Available on our online store are washers for M3 to M12 screws, including washers for M6, M8 or even M10 screws, in black or white.
Make sure you select the right size of fastening washer according to the length and diameter of the threaded rod. The chosen screw or threaded rod length must take into account the washer(s) used.
There are other types of washers, such as those intended for finishing: cup washers. These types of washers correspond to specific uses; they are rarer than flat washers, but ajile also offers a wide range.
